A Deswik está sempre desenvolvendo algo novo…

Coming soon: Deswik.LHS embedded in Deswik.Sched, Deswik.LHS for UG

maio 22, 2017

Deswik.LHS was one of the original modules launched by Deswik in 2009. Over the years it has had a number of revamps and upgrades, but for 2017.2 it will have some major changes. Integrated planning solutions are at the heart of what Deswik software looks to achieve, and one of the key parts of this is how loading unit scheduling is integrated with dump scheduling. We have had a number of requests from customers for tighter integration between Deswik.Sched and Deswik.LHS.

DESWIK.LHS EMBEDDED IN DESWIK.SCHED

From 2017.2 Deswik.LHS will be available as a plugin in both Deswik.CAD and Deswik.Sched. Deswik.LHS embedded in Deswik.CAD (the traditional way) will continue to work as it has done for the last 8 years. This will continue to be supported indefinitely. For those of our clients who would like to have a tighter integration between their mining and dumping schedules, using Deswik.LHS in Deswik.Sched will offer a better outcome.

The advantages of having the haulage embedded in the scheduler are many. Here is a short list:

  1. Dependencies between dump blocks and mining blocks. This enables both mining blocks to be dependent upon dumping blocks and vice versa.
  2. Deswik.IS style dependency generation – greater control over dumping constraints and directions.
  3. Run Haulage the traditional way (after mining scheduling), or during resource levelling.
  4. Trucks can be treated as Resources in Deswik.Sched. This means that they can be assigned as a fleet or individually to loading units. Trucks can have calendars.
  5. Haulage, blending, targeting all working together – no more re-running iterations of a mining schedule until you get to the “right” number of trucks.
  6. Integrated animation, as soon as levelling is complete you will have a haulage and mining animation to view.

As a part of the integration there is a component for “sending” the dump designs and haul roads across to the Scheduler, which resides in the current Deswik.LHS module in Deswik.CAD. The process is workflow driven and is designed to guide you through the process, providing you with exactly the tools you require when you need them. Existing Deswik.LHS projects can be pushed quickly and easily into Deswik.Sched. For those customers who are happy with their current haulage outputs, never fear, we will continue supporting the current Deswik.LHS approach indefinitely. It is a tried a tested system and works nicely in the cases where Deswik.Sched is not used for the mining scheduling.

Once the data is in Deswik.Sched, the dump blocks show up as “tasks” in the schedule and stockpilesplants show up in the Blender flow model. This enables the Destination Mapping to be done in a graphical way similar to the way that the Blender flow models have previously been completed.

We are designing a workflow based system for configuring the haulage project, which will improve upon the “single dialog” approach we used with Deswik.LHS. The idea is to make the process more streamlined and simpler to follow.

DESWIK.LHS FOR UNDERGROUND

Also included as part of the major revamp will be the introduction of Deswik.LHS for Underground mining operations. This will be available for access via a script in 2017.1 with a full user interface available through 2017.2. Similar to the open pit haulage modelling. Deswik.LHS for Underground will enable users to either determine the number of trucks required, or set the number of available trucks on a period by period basisfor.

Deswik.LHS for Underground uses the design centrelines as the haulage network and using the Destinations modelling algorithms in the Scheduler, will dump development waste into stockpiles underground ready for backfilling stopes as well as hauling waste and ore all the way to the surface. Tonne Kilometres (TKM’s) can be calculated through the integrated reporting in Deswik.Sched.
